As Khan (2019) states in his article, “We are observing unprecedented developments in all the areas of technology due to the heavy investment in education, research and development, innovation and entrepreneurship all over the world.” Organizations are coming up with various innovations that looks to seize advantages of the future opportunities that influences the way online content is shared, the websites and other vital resources in technology.

As this technology advances, the underrepresented groups should not be left behind but rather included in these forms. Therefore, it is a responsibility of today’s technology leaders to train and equip persons from historically underserved communities, particularly, the youth, women, and Persons with Disabilities, to compete and succeed in the 4th Industrial Revolution.

The question that different technological organizations have is where they should put their budget on and what to invest in. Offering of education and training is an answer to this as it is key in levelling the playing field in the technology world. Technology’s revolution remains to be a fast-growing area and provides high-paying jobs to people in the society.

CIO Africa serves the enterprise community of CIOs and senior technology decision-makers with peer insight and expertise on business strategy, innovation and leadership. StepWise as an impact sourcing company shall be a partner with the CIO 100’s Symposium and Awards which is an event that will be celebrating the digital innovation and leadership from different enterprises.
